SANTA FE VEGGIE WRAP

Santa Fe Veggie Wrap image

I combined elements from the other Santa Fe recipes on this site to make this version. I think the adobo spread and vegetable relish benefit from a night in the fridge; it's probably not essential, but it sure makes assembly a breeze to have prepped everything the night before.

SANTA FE VEGETABLE WRAP

This recipe, from The Whole Foods Market Cookbook, is an explosion of traditional Southwest flavors and textures. If you want to add a little heat, try mixing a teaspoon of chipotle chili in adobo sauce to the cream cheese before spreading it on the tortilla. Serve these with a bit of tomato salsa and sour cream or plain yogurt on the side for dipping.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your Santa Fe wrap will taste. Look for ripe avocados, crisp lettuce, and juicy tomatoes.
  • Choose a good tortilla: The tortilla is the foundation of your wrap, so make sure to choose a good one. Look for a tortilla that is soft and pliable, but not too thin or thick.
  • Spread your ingredients evenly: When you're assembling your wrap, be sure to spread your ingredients evenly so that each bite is packed with flavor.
  • Don't overstuff your wrap: A good rule of thumb is to fill your wrap no more than halfway. This will make it easier to roll and eat.
  • Grill or toast your tortilla: Grilling or toasting your tortilla will give it a nice smoky flavor and make it more pliable.
  • Serve your wrap with your favorite dipping sauce: Salsa, guacamole, or sour cream are all great options.

Conclusion:

The Santa Fe wrap is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for lunch or dinner. It's packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients and can be customized to your liking. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give the Santa Fe wrap a try.
