Our classic Santa Fe Frito Pie recipe starts with a flavorful ground beef filling, simmered in a blend of aromatic spices and zesty salsa. Then, we'll layer in a medley of colorful vegetables, including bell peppers, onions, and corn, adding a delightful crunch and freshness to the dish. Next, we'll introduce a rich and flavorful sauce, made with a combination of enchilada sauce, chili powder, and cumin, providing a perfect balance of heat and depth of flavor. Finally, we'll top it all off with a generous helping of melted cheese, creating a gooey and irresistible finish.
For those with dietary restrictions or preferences, we've included variations of the Santa Fe Frito Pie that cater to vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets. Our vegetarian version swaps the ground beef for a hearty combination of black beans, corn, and zucchini, while our vegan version uses a plant-based ground beef alternative and dairy-free cheese.
