Time 18m

Yield 72 Pretzels, 18 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

72 pretzels
72 Hershey chocolate kisses
72 M&M's plain chocolate candy

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 250.
  • On a cookie sheet, lay out your pretzels in a single layer.
  • Unwrap and put a hershey kiss in the center of each pretzel.
  • Bake for 2-3 minutes.
  • Take out and immediately press a single M&M into the center of each melty kiss.
  • Chill for 10 minutes.

Tips:

  • To make perfect Santa buttons, choose fresh, firm strawberries. Avoid any berries that are bruised or have soft spots.
  • Wash the strawberries thoroughly and pat them dry before dipping them in chocolate. This will help the chocolate adhere better to the berries.
  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best results. Semi-sweet or dark chocolate works well, but you can also use milk chocolate if you prefer a sweeter treat.
  • Melt the chocolate slowly and carefully. If you overheat the chocolate, it will become thick and difficult to work with.
  • Dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate, making sure to coat them completely. You can use a spoon or a fork to help you with this.
  • Place the dipped strawberries on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes, or until the chocolate has hardened.
  • Once the chocolate has hardened, you can decorate the strawberries with any desired toppings. Some popular options include sprinkles, crushed candy canes, or mini marshmallows.

Conclusion:

Santa buttons are a classic holiday treat that are always a hit with kids and adults alike. They are easy to make and can be customized to your own liking. With a little creativity, you can create beautiful and festive Santa buttons that will be the star of your holiday party.
