Some popular choices include chili, cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and avocado. Get creative and experiment with different combinations to find your perfect frito pie.
  • Make your own chili: If you have the time, making your own chili is a great way to add extra flavor to your frito pie. There are many different chili recipes out there, so you can find one that suits your taste. Or, you can use your favorite store-bought chili.
  • Use fresh ingredients: Whenever possible, use fresh ingredients in your frito pie. This will help to give your dish the best possible flavor. If you can't find fresh ingredients, frozen or canned ingredients will work in a pinch.
  • Don't overcook the Fritos: Fritos are best when they are still crunchy. If you overcook them, they will become soggy and lose their flavor. Simply crush the Fritos and add them to your frito pie just before serving.
  • Serve immediately: Frito pie is best served immediately after it is made. This will help to ensure that the Fritos stay crunchy and the chili is hot and bubbly.
