Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better the pasta salad will taste. If possible, use organic vegetables and herbs.
  • Cook the pasta al dente: This means cooking the pasta until it is tender but still has a slight bite to it. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and won't hold up well in the salad.
  • Let the pasta cool completely before adding the other ingredients: This will prevent the pasta from absorbing too much of the dressing and becoming soggy.
  • Use a light and flavorful dressing: A simple vinaigrette or olive oil and lemon juice dressing is a good option. Avoid using heavy dressings, such as mayonnaise or cream-based dressings, as they can weigh down the salad.
  • Add a variety of vegetables and herbs: This will give the salad color, flavor, and texture. Some good options include tomatoes, cucumbers, bell peppers, onions, olives, and basil.
  • Season the salad to taste: Add salt, pepper, and other seasonings to taste. You can also add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little spice.
  • Serve the salad chilled: Pasta salad is best served chilled, so make it ahead of time and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour before serving.

Conclusion:

Sam's Mediterranean Rotini Pasta Salad is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for summer gatherings. The pasta salad is packed with fresh vegetables, herbs, and a light and flavorful dressing. It is a healthy and refreshing dish that is sure to please everyone.
