SALTED ICED LATTE

Adding a pinch of salt to your coffee makes it smoother without having to rely on sugar to mask the flavor. It mellows out a rather punchy cup of coffee, and you can use way less milk than usual. Here's the thing though -- use just a pinch! If you go crazy, it will taste like salty coffee. I dressed up my version here by adding some vanilla bean and shaking the ingredients in a cocktail shaker to get an amazing frothy texture. Enjoy!

Our Iced Latte recipe turns your favorite morning beverage into a refreshing drink that you can enjoy at any time of the day. All you need is some ice, a splash of milk and rich espresso-like coffee from a stovetop brewer. Grab your mason jar to add some cold foam for an elevated twist, or customize your coffee with a little vanilla for a classic Iced Vanilla Latte.

Time 12m

Yield 1 serving

Number Of Ingredients 3

1 cup ice
4 oz espresso (try Starbucks® Espresso Roast)
0.75 cup whole milk

Steps:

  • Fill a tall glass with ice, and pour in the freshly brewed espresso.
  • Pour the milk and optional sweetener into a mason jar until it's ¾ full.
  • Seal the jar tightly, and shake, shake, shake.
  • Pour the milk and foam into the glass with the ice and espresso.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality coffee beans. Freshly ground coffee beans will produce the best flavor.
  • Brew your coffee strong. This will ensure that your iced latte has a bold flavor.
  • Chill your coffee before making your iced latte. This will help to prevent the coffee from diluting the milk and ice.
  • Use whole milk or 2% milk for a creamy latte. You can also use almond milk or oat milk for a dairy-free option.
  • Sweeten your iced latte to taste. You can use sugar, honey, or flavored syrups.
  • Top your iced latte with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, or a sprinkle of cinnamon for a special treat.

Conclusion:

Salted iced lattes are a delicious and refreshing drink that can be enjoyed all year round. With just a few simple ingredients, you can make a salted iced latte that is sure to impress your friends and family. So next time you're looking for a cold and creamy pick-me-up, give this recipe a try.
