Tips:
- Choose the right salmon: Look for wild-caught salmon that is sustainably sourced. Farmed salmon can be a good option too, but make sure it is organic and raised without antibiotics or pesticides.
- Cook the salmon properly: Salmon is a delicate fish that can easily be overcooked. Cook it until it is just opaque in the center, about 125°F (52°C) for medium-rare.
- Make sure the celeriac mash is smooth: Use a food processor or blender to puree the celeriac until it is very smooth. This will help it to create a creamy and flavorful mash.
- Add some fresh herbs: Fresh herbs like parsley, chives, or dill can brighten up the flavors in the dish. Add them just before serving for the best flavor.
- Serve the salmon and celeriac mash immediately: This dish is best enjoyed when served hot. The salmon will start to dry out if it sits for too long, and the celeriac mash will lose its creaminess.
Conclusion:
This salmon with mustardy celeriac mash is a delicious and elegant dish that is perfect for a special occasion. The salmon is cooked to perfection and the celeriac mash is creamy and flavorful. The mustard sauce adds a nice tang to the dish, and the fresh herbs brighten up the flavors. Overall, this is a well-balanced and satisfying dish that is sure to impress your guests.
