Tips:

  • Choose fresh and firm salmon steaks. Look for steaks that are bright in color and have a mild, fishy smell. Avoid steaks that are dull in color or have a strong, fishy odor.
  • Use a good quality hoisin sauce. Hoisin sauce is a thick, sweet, and savory sauce that is made from fermented soybeans, vinegar, sugar, and spices. It is available in most Asian grocery stores and some supermarkets.
  • Marinade the salmon steaks for at least 30 minutes. This will help the steaks to absorb the flavors of the hoisin sauce.
  • Cook the salmon steaks over medium heat. This will help to prevent the steaks from drying out.
  • Baste the salmon steaks with the hoisin sauce frequently. This will help to keep the steaks moist and flavorful.
  • Serve the salmon steaks immediately. Salmon steaks are best served hot off the grill or pan.

Conclusion:

Salmon steaks with hoisin glaze are a delicious and easy-to-make meal. The hoisin sauce adds a sweet and savory flavor to the salmon, and the glaze helps to keep the steaks moist and flavorful. This dish is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion.
