SALAMI PIE

When I was little, my mother got this from a friend of hers. It has been a family favorite and is now my kids favorite. It is very quick and easy! It is kind of like a pizza but different. My teenagers love it and always request it!

Time 50m

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 tube(s) crecent rolls
3 c mozzarella cheese
1/2 lb salami, thinly sliced
3 Tbsp parmesan cheese
3 eggs, well beaten
pinch pepper to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Unroll crescent rolls and place in a lightly greased 9 x 13 pan to make a bottom crust (press together seams). Then spread the mozzarella chees on top of the crust.
  • 2. Next add the salami (I usually do three across until it is covered). Spread the beaten eggs with pepper over the salami (I use a spoon to spread the eggs evenly over it). Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
  • 3. Bake in the 325 degree oven for about 40 - 45 minutes. Cut into squares.
  • 4. Enjoy!! I usually serve a salad with this.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ingredients: Use fresh, high-quality salami, cheese, and bread for the best flavor.
  • Slice the salami and cheese thinly: This will help them to cook evenly.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut the bread: This will help to prevent the bread from tearing.
  • Brush the bread with melted butter: This will help to keep the bread moist and prevent it from becoming dry.
  • Bake the pie at a high temperature: This will help to create a crispy crust.
  • Let the pie cool slightly before slicing: This will help to prevent the cheese from oozing out.

Conclusion:

Salami pie is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. With its simple ingredients and flavorful filling, it's sure to be a hit with everyone at the table. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give salami pie a try!
