Tips:
- Choose the right apples. Not all apples are created equal when it comes to baking. For this recipe, you'll want to use a firm, tart apple that will hold its shape when baked, such as Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, or Braeburn.
- Peel and slice the apples thinly. This will help them to cook evenly and prevent them from becoming mushy.
- Don't overmix the streusel topping. Overmixing will make the topping tough. Just mix until the ingredients are combined.
- Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbling. This usually takes about 45-50 minutes.
- Let the pie cool for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will give the filling time to set and make it easier to slice.
Conclusion:
This rustic apple streusel pie is the perfect dessert for any occasion. It's easy to make, delicious, and sure to please everyone. So next time you're looking for a classic dessert recipe, give this one a try. You won't be disappointed.
