Tips:

  • Use a high-quality rum for the best flavor. A dark rum will give the cake a richer flavor, while a light rum will produce a lighter, more delicate flavor.
  • Be sure to soak the raisins in rum for at least 30 minutes before adding them to the cake batter. This will help to plump them up and give them a richer flavor.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the cake tough.
  • Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Overbaking will dry out the cake.
  • Let the cake cool completely before frosting it. This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.
  • Store the cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

This rum cake in a jar is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With its moist, flavorful cake and creamy frosting, it is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
