Steps:
- Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Stir in the broccoli, and cook, uncovered, for 3 minutes. Remove the broccoli with a slotted spoon; set aside. Stir the rotini into the same pot, and return to a boil. Cook uncovered, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is cooked through, but still firm to the bite, about 8 minutes. Drain.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook and stir the garlic and crushed red pepper for 1 minute. Stir in the broccoli, chicken broth, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer until the broccoli is tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in the drained pasta; cook over low heat for 1 minute. Stir in the Parmesan cheese.

Tips:
- Choose the right pasta. Rotini is a good choice for this dish because it has a hearty texture and holds the sauce well. Other good options include penne, rigatoni, and fusilli.
- Cook the pasta al dente. This means that it should be cooked until it is tender but still has a slight bite to it. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and won't hold the sauce as well.
- Make sure the broccoli is cooked through but still has a bit of crunch. You don't want it to be mushy.
- Use a good quality cream. This will make a big difference in the flavor of the sauce. Look for a cream that is at least 35% fat.
- Season the sauce to taste. You may want to add more salt, pepper, or garlic powder, depending on your preference.
- Garnish the dish with fresh parsley or basil. This will add a pop of color and flavor.
Conclusion:
Rotini pasta with broccoli cream sauce is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. It is also a great way to get your kids to eat their vegetables. With a few simple tips, you can make this dish even better. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy meal, give this recipe a try.
