Tips:

  • Choose the right apples: Use firm, crisp apples that will hold their shape when baked. Granny Smith, Honeycrisp, and Braeburn are all good choices.
  • Prepare the apples properly: Core and peel the apples, then cut them into thin slices. This will help them cook evenly and absorb the sugar syrup.
  • Make the sugar syrup ahead of time: This will give the flavors time to develop. You can make it up to a week in advance and store it in the refrigerator.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When baking the apples, make sure they are in a single layer so that they cook evenly.
  • Watch the apples carefully: They should be tender but still hold their shape. If they start to get too soft, remove them from the oven.

Conclusion:

Rosy Red Christmas Apples are a delicious and festive treat that are perfect for the holiday season. They are easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Serve them as a dessert, a snack, or a gift. They are sure to be a hit!
