Beef Rib Roast with Garlic and Rosemary image

A standing rib roast combines deep beefiness with marvelous tenderness and, naturally, has a price tag to match. But don't be intimidated. It's still a roast, after all, and that means it's easy to cook.

Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of beef. A good roast beef should be from a well-marbled cut of beef, such as a chuck roast, rib roast, or sirloin roast. These cuts will have enough fat to keep the beef moist and flavorful during cooking.
  • Season the beef well. Before cooking, season the beef with salt, pepper, and other herbs and spices of your choice. This will help to enhance the flavor of the beef.
  • Sear the beef before roasting. Searing the beef before roasting will help to create a flavorful crust and lock in the juices. To sear the beef, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the beef. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until the beef is browned.
  • Roast the beef at a low temperature. The best way to cook a roast beef is to roast it at a low temperature (225-250 degrees Fahrenheit) for a long period of time. This will help to keep the beef moist and tender.
  • Let the beef rest before carving. After the beef is cooked, let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the beef, resulting in a more tender and flavorful roast.

Conclusion:

Garlic Herb Roast Beef is a classic recipe that is perfect for any occasion. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a flavorful and tender roast beef that will impress your family and friends.
