This recipe is a culinary journey that leads you through a step-by-step process, ensuring that you create a dish that will leave a lasting impression on your palate.

**The Journey Begins: Rosemary Garlic Rub**

The journey begins with the creation of a flavorful rub that will coat the pork cube steaks. A medley of dried rosemary, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper is carefully combined, creating a symphony of aromas that will permeate every bite of the pork. This rub is the foundation of the dish, setting the stage for a tantalizing culinary experience.

**Searing the Steaks: A Dance of Heat and Flavor**

Once the pork cube steaks are generously coated in the aromatic rub, they are seared in a hot skillet. The sizzling sound of the steaks hitting the pan is music to the ears of any food enthusiast. The searing process creates a beautiful crust, locking in the juices and caramelizing the spices, resulting in a tender and flavorful interior.

**Basting the Steaks: A Symphony of Flavors**

As the steaks sear, a tantalizing basting sauce is prepared. A combination of butter, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and a touch of brown sugar is whisked together, creating a rich and savory liquid. This flavorful sauce is then generously brushed onto the steaks, infusing them with even more depth of flavor.

**The Grand Finale: A Culinary Symphony**

The final act of this culinary journey involves transferring the seared and basted pork cube steaks to a baking dish. They are then topped with a layer of sautéed onions and bell peppers, adding a vibrant medley of colors and textures to the dish. The baking process allows the flavors to meld and harmonize, resulting in a tender and juicy pork that is bursting with flavor.

ROSEMARY GARLIC RUB

Rosemary Garlic Rub image

This olive oil based rub is great on chicken or pork, particularly when using an indirect grilling method. You can also use this on potatoes. To coat potatoes, cut small baking potatoes into eighths and par boil for about 5 minutes. Coat with mixture and place directly on medium high grill rack, turning every five minutes, for about fifteen minutes, until tender.

GARLIC AND ROSEMARY STEAK

Garlic and Rosemary Steak image

An absolutely delicious way to enjoy steak -- I usually make this with London Broil. A favorite of ours for many years. Preparation time does not including marinating -- this must marinate at least overnight.

Provided by Pianolady

Categories     Steak

Time 30m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar or 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
8 cloves garlic, minced
4 teaspoons dried rosemary, crumbled
3 1/2 lbs boneless beef top sirloin steaks or 3 1/2 lbs london broil beef, approximately 2 inches thick
pepper, to taste

Steps:

  • Tenderize steak before marinating.
  • Combine first 5 ingredients.
  • Add steak and turn to coat.
  • Season generously with pepper.
  • Cover and refrigerate steak overnight, turning occasionally (I use a Tupperware made for marinating where you can turn it over easily).
  • Bring steak to room temperature.
  • Preheat the broiler for 5 minutes.
  • Remove steak from marinade and pat dry.
  • Transfer marinade to heavy small saucepan.
  • Broil steak to desired degree of doneness-- about 10 minutes per side for rare (125°F).

Tips:

  • To ensure the pork cubes are evenly coated in the marinade, use a large bowl or resealable plastic bag. This will allow the marinade to fully penetrate the meat.
  • For the best flavor, let the pork cubes marinate for at least 30 minutes. The longer you marinate the meat, the more flavorful it will be.
  • If you don't have time to marinate the pork cubes, you can still make this recipe. Just be sure to add a little extra rosemary and garlic to the skillet when you cook the meat.
  • To prevent the pork cubes from sticking to the skillet, make sure the pan is hot before adding the meat. You can also add a little bit of oil or butter to the pan.
  • Cook the pork cubes over medium heat until they are browned on all sides and cooked through. This should take about 5-7 minutes per side.
  • Serve the rosemary garlic coated pork cube steaks with your favorite sides. Some popular options include mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a side salad.

Conclusion:

This rosemary garlic coated pork cube steaks recipe is a quick and easy way to make a delicious and flavorful meal. The pork cubes are tender and juicy, and the rosemary and garlic marinade gives them a wonderful flavor. This recipe is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a casual gathering with friends.
