Tips:

  • Use fresh, crisp romaine lettuce for the best flavor and texture.
  • To easily segment the oranges, use a sharp knife to cut off the top and bottom of each orange, then score the peel vertically from top to bottom. Peel off the segments, following the natural lines of the fruit.
  • If you don't have almonds on hand, you can substitute another type of nut, such as walnuts or pecans.
  • To make a vegan version of this salad, use a plant-based vinaigrette dressing instead of the honey-mustard dressing.
  • For a more substantial salad, add some grilled chicken or tofu.

Conclusion:

This romaine salad with oranges and almonds is a delicious and refreshing salad that is perfect for a light lunch or dinner. It is also a great way to get your daily dose of fruits and vegetables. The sweet oranges and crunchy almonds add a nice contrast to the bitter romaine lettuce, and the honey-mustard dressing is the perfect finishing touch.
