Tips:

  • Use unsalted butter to prevent the buttercream from becoming too salty.
  • Make sure the butter and cream cheese are at room temperature before creaming together. This will help to create a smooth and creamy frosting.
  • Gradually add the powdered sugar to the butter mixture. This will help to prevent the frosting from becoming too thick or grainy.
  • If you want a stiffer frosting, chill it for at least 30 minutes before using.
  • To achieve a smooth and even finish, roll the fondant out on a lightly greased surface.
  • If the fondant becomes too sticky, dust it with a little cornstarch.
  • Use a rolling pin to carefully transfer the fondant to the cake. Smooth out any wrinkles or air bubbles with your hands.
  • Fondant can be used to decorate cakes, cupcakes, and other desserts. It can also be used to make edible flowers and other decorations.
