Tips:

  • Use high-quality lamb: Look for lamb that is fresh and has a good amount of marbling. This will help ensure that your Rogan Josh is tender and flavorful.
  • Don't skip the yogurt marinade: The yogurt marinade helps to tenderize the lamb and also adds a delicious tanginess to the dish. Be sure to marinate the lamb for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  • Use a good quality garam masala: Garam masala is a key ingredient in Rogan Josh, and it's important to use a good quality blend. Look for a garam masala that is made with fresh, whole spices.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When cooking the lamb, be sure to not overcrowd the pan. This will help the lamb to brown evenly and prevent it from stewing.
  • Simmer the curry for at least 30 minutes: This will help the flavors to develop and deepen. The longer you simmer the curry, the better it will taste.
  • Serve with rice or naan: Rogan Josh is traditionally served with rice or naan. Both options are delicious and will help to soak up the flavorful sauce.

Rogan Josh is a delicious and flavorful Indian lamb curry that is sure to impress your friends and family. With its tender lamb, rich sauce, and aromatic spices, this dish is a perfect meal for any occasion. So next time you're looking for a new and exciting curry recipe to try, give Rogan Josh a try.
