Coarse salt
1 1/2 teaspoons sesame seeds

Steps:

Nutrition Facts : Calories 105 g, Fat 8 g, Fiber 3 g, Protein 4 g

Tips:

  • Choose the right asparagus. Look for asparagus that is fresh, firm, and has tightly closed tips. Avoid asparagus that is wilted, limp, or has brown or yellow spots.
  • Trim the asparagus properly. Cut off the tough, woody ends of the asparagus. You can do this by bending each spear until it snaps naturally. Alternatively, you can use a sharp knife to cut off the ends.
  • Coat the asparagus evenly. To ensure that the asparagus is evenly coated with the sesame-panko mixture, place the asparagus in a large bowl and toss with the mixture until well coated.
  • Don't overcrowd the baking sheet. When roasting the asparagus, make sure to spread it out in a single layer on the baking sheet. This will help the asparagus to cook evenly and prevent it from steaming.
  • Roast the asparagus until it is tender. The asparagus is done roasting when it is tender when pierced with a fork. This usually takes about 10-12 minutes.
  • Make the soy-ginger drizzle while the asparagus is roasting. This will give the flavors time to meld together.
  • Drizzle the asparagus with the soy-ginger drizzle immediately after it comes out of the oven. This will help the flavors to soak into the asparagus.

Conclusion:

Roasted Sesame and Panko-Coated Asparagus with Soy-Ginger Drizzle is a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. The asparagus is roasted until tender and then coated with a flavorful sesame-panko mixture. The soy-ginger drizzle adds a delicious umami flavor to the dish. This recipe is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
