Number Of Ingredients 5

Nugget potatoes
Whatever herbs and spices work with the rest of your menu
Salt & pepper
Olive oil
Butter

Steps:

  • Wash potatoes. Dry; put into oiled baking dish and toss with olive oil and chosen herbs/spices. Add chunk of butter. Put into oven @350 - 400, depending on other dishes being roasted. Toss when butter has melted (about 5 minutes) and then again throughout the roasting period until potatoes are browned to your satisfaction.

Tips:

  • Choose the right potatoes: Look for small, firm potatoes that are about 1-2 inches in diameter. Yukon Gold, Red Bliss, and fingerling potatoes are all good choices.
  • Toss the potatoes in oil and seasonings: This will help them to brown and crisp in the oven. You can use olive oil, melted butter, or a combination of both. Season the potatoes with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and any other desired herbs or spices.
  • Roast the potatoes at a high temperature: This will help them to get crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Aim for a temperature of 425°F (220°C).
  • Don't overcrowd the potatoes: Make sure there is enough space between the potatoes so that they can roast evenly. If you overcrowd the potatoes, they will steam instead of roast.
  • Shake the potatoes halfway through roasting: This will help them to brown evenly. You can also use a spatula to gently toss the potatoes.
  • Serve the potatoes hot: Roasted potatoes are best served immediately after they are roasted. They can be served as a side dish or as a snack.

Conclusion:

Roasted nugget potatoes are a delicious and easy-to-make side dish. They are perfect for any occasion, from a casual weeknight dinner to a special holiday meal. With just a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can enjoy this classic dish.
