Tips for Perfect Roasted Green Beans with Blue Cheese:

  • Choose fresh, tender green beans: Look for beans that are bright green and snap easily when you bend them. Avoid beans that are limp or have brown spots.
  • Trim the beans: Remove the tough ends of the beans. You can do this by snapping them off or using a sharp knife.
  • Roast the beans at a high temperature: This will help them to get crispy and flavorful. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) before roasting the beans.
  • Toss the beans with olive oil and salt: This will help them to evenly brown and season the beans.
  • Roast the beans for 15-20 minutes: Or until they are tender-crisp and slightly browned. Be sure to shake the pan halfway through roasting to ensure even cooking.
  • Top the beans with blue cheese and almonds: Before serving, sprinkle the roasted green beans with crumbled blue cheese and chopped almonds. This will add a delicious and nutty flavor to the dish.
