WARM TURKEY & TOMATO WRAPS
When my wife was out and about one day, I invented these wraps to surprise her when she came home. Sometimes I substitute cranberry sauce for the chutney, or use mascarpone cheese instead of cream cheese. -Alfred Lester, Millsboro, Delaware

Tips:
- Choose the right turkey: Select a fresh or thawed turkey that is no larger than 12 pounds. A smaller turkey will cook more evenly and quickly.
- Brine the turkey: Brining the turkey helps to keep it moist and flavorful. You can brine the turkey in a simple solution of water, salt, and sugar, or you can use a more flavorful brine that includes herbs, spices, and citrus.
- Roast the turkey at a high temperature: This will help to create a crispy skin and juicy meat. Roast the turkey at 425 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes, then reduce the heat to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and continue to roast until the turkey is cooked through.
- Use an instant-read thermometer: This is the best way to ensure that the turkey is cooked to the proper temperature. Insert the thermometer into the thickest part of the thigh, without touching the bone. The turkey is done when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Let the turkey rest before carving: This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in a more tender and flavorful turkey.
- Make herbed cream cheese: Combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, chopped fresh herbs, and lemon juice in a bowl. Mix until well combined.
- Assemble the lettuce wraps: Place a lettuce leaf on a plate. Add a scoop of herbed cream cheese, a slice of turkey, and your favorite toppings. Fold the lettuce leaf over the filling and enjoy!
Conclusion:
These roast turkey and herbed cream cheese lettuce wraps are a delicious and easy way to enjoy a Thanksgiving feast. The turkey is cooked to perfection and the herbed cream cheese adds a creamy and flavorful touch. These lettuce wraps are perfect for a party or a casual meal. They are also a great way to use up leftover turkey.
