2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 small shallot, chopped
1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and sliced
1 cup heavy cream
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
