1/4 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sesame seeds, toasted
For rice
2 cups Japanese short-grain rice
2 cups water

1 tablespoon fresh lime juice

Nutrition Facts : Calories 231 g, Fat 6 g, Fiber 1 g, Protein 5 g

Tips:

  • Choose the right rice: Japanese short-grain rice is the best choice for this recipe, as it cooks up fluffy and sticky, which is perfect for absorbing the sesame sauce.
  • Rinse the rice thoroughly: This helps to remove the starch from the rice, which prevents it from becoming gummy.
  • Use a heavy-bottomed pot: This helps to distribute the heat evenly and prevents the rice from burning.
  • Cook the rice in a 1:1 ratio of water to rice: This will give you the perfect consistency of cooked rice.
  • Let the rice rest before serving: This allows the rice to absorb all of the sesame sauce and flavors.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds: This adds a nutty flavor and a pop of color to the dish.

Conclusion:

Rice with sesame seeds is a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up leftover rice, and it can be served with a variety of dishes, such as grilled chicken, fish, or vegetables. The combination of the fluffy rice, the savory sesame sauce, and the crunchy sesame seeds makes this dish a real crowd-pleaser.
