RICE KRISPIES FUNNEL KISSES

Rice Krispies Funnel Kisses image

This is a fun recipe to do with the kids. You can use any size funnel for little kisses, or huge kisses (my kids' favorite).

Time 17m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 3

1/4 cup butter
1 (10 ounce) package marshmallows, mini (4 C total) or 1 (10 ounce) package regular size marshmallows (4 C total)
5 cups Rice Krispies (regular or chocolate flavor)

Steps:

  • Microwave margarine and marshmallows on high for 1 minutes in microwave-safe, very large mixing bowl.
  • Stir to combine.
  • (You can spray the bowl with cooking spray or grease with oil beforehand so the marshmallow stuff won't stick.) Microwave at high 1 minute longer.
  • Stir until smooth.
  • Add cereal.
  • Stir until well coated.
  • Spray or grease a funnel with oil, cooking spray or shortening.
  • Spray two baggies and place on your hands, oiled side out.
  • This will keep your hands from getting yucky.
  • Press rice krispy mixture into the funnel (use waxed paper instead of your hand to press), and then place molded rise krispy kiss on waxed paper.
  • You may need to shape them a little more to make them look like kisses.
  • Repeat until you have used all of your rice krispy mixture.

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients. Fresh rice krispies and Hershey's kisses will give your treats the best flavor and texture.
  • Don't overcook the butter and marshmallows. If you cook them for too long, they will become too thick and gooey, and your treats will be hard to mix.
  • Be careful when adding the rice krispies. Stir them in gently to avoid breaking them up.
  • Press the treats firmly into the pan. This will help them hold their shape.
  • Let the treats cool completely before cutting them. This will prevent them from falling apart.
  • Store the treats in an airtight container at room temperature. They will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks.

Conclusion:

Rice krispies treats are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or dessert. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a sweet and satisfying treat that everyone will love. These treats are also a great way to use up leftover rice krispies and Hershey's kisses. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy snack, give these rice krispies treats a try!
