Time 1h

Yield 1 Ring, 8 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 cups sliced deli corned beef, chopped
1 (11 ounce) can sauerkraut, drained and squeezed dry
1 1/4 cups swiss cheese, shredded
1/4 cup thousand island dressing
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, snipped
1 garlic clove, pressed
1 egg, lightly beaten
2 (8 ounce) cans crescent rolls

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  • In a bowl, combine corned beef, sauerkraut, one cup of cheese, dressing, parsley and garlic; mix well.
  • Take the crescent rolls and separate them into the triangles. Arrange one can of the triangles so they look like a sun with the fatter side in the middle and the shinny part of the triangle pointing out. Then take the second can of rolls and separate into triangles. Place one triangle in between two triangles so that it looks like a very full sun. All skinny parts are on the outside and all fat parts are on the inside.
  • Scoop filling evenly over the thick inner part of the sun. Then take the skinny points and fold them over tucking the ends in the thicker part of the dough. This should create a circle (ring) stuffed with the ingredients.
  • Brush top with egg.

8 oz silver floss sauerkraut, rinsed drained (any that comes in a jar not canned)
1/4 c thousand island dressing
1/2 c shredded swiss cheese
3 c bisquick mix
2/3 c milk
2 Tbsp butter or margarine, softened
2 large eggs

  • 1. Mix corned beef, sauerkraut and dressing. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 3 minutes. Heat oven to 375^, Generously grease 12-cup bundt cake pan. Mix remaining ingredients beat vigorously 30 seconds. Spread 2 cups of the batter in bottom and about 2 inches up side and center of pan. Sprinkle cheese over batter in pan. Spoon reuben mixture evenly onto center of batter. Drop remaining batter by teaspoonfuls about 1/2 inch apart onto corn beef mixture.Spread slightly to connect. Bake until light brown and firm, about 25 minutes. Invert on heatproof serving plate.

Tips:

  • Choose high-quality ingredients: Use fresh, flavorful ingredients for the best results. Look for high-quality rye bread, thinly sliced corned beef, and Swiss cheese that melts well.
  • Don't skimp on the butter: Butter is essential for adding richness and flavor to the sandwich. Use unsalted butter so you can control the amount of salt in the sandwich.
  • Cook the corned beef and sauerkraut: Cooking the corned beef and sauerkraut helps to bring out their flavors and make them more tender. If you're using leftover corned beef, make sure to reheat it before assembling the sandwich.
  • Assemble the sandwich carefully: Layer the ingredients evenly on the bread so that each bite has a little bit of everything. Start with a layer of butter, then add the corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and a final layer of butter.
  • Grill the sandwich until golden brown: Grilling the sandwich helps to melt the cheese and toast the bread. Cook the sandwich over medium heat so that it has time to cook through without burning.

The Reuben ring is a delicious and easy-to-make sandwich that is perfect for any occasion. With its combination of savory corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, melty Swiss cheese, and buttery rye bread, it's sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
