1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 pounds cooked medium shrimp
1/4 cup sliced caper berries, plus whole caper berries for serving
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon grated garlic
4 ribs celery, cut crosswise into 2-inch pieces

Tips:

  • Choose fresh and high-quality ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will greatly impact the taste of your relish tray. Use fresh vegetables and fruits that are in season, and select high-quality cheeses and meats.
  • Variety is key: Offer a variety of items on your relish tray to appeal to different tastes. Include a mix of fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, meats, dips, and crackers.
  • Arrange your relish tray attractively: The way you arrange your relish tray can make a big difference in how appealing it looks. Use different serving dishes and platters to create height and dimension, and group similar items together.
  • Keep your relish tray cold: Relish trays are best served cold, so keep them in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve them. You can also place a bowl of ice in the center of the tray to help keep the food cold.
  • Replenish your relish tray as needed: As guests snack on the relish tray, it's important to replenish it with fresh food. This will help to keep the tray looking its best and ensure that there's always plenty of food for everyone.

Conclusion:

Relish trays are a delicious and easy way to add a touch of elegance to your next party or gathering. With a little planning and preparation, you can create a relish tray that is both beautiful and delicious. So next time you're looking for a simple but impressive appetizer, give a relish tray a try. Your guests will love it!
