Provided by Color Guard Mom

Categories     Cheese

Time 1h10m

Yield 1 1/2 cups, 10 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 (6 1/2 ounce) can chopped clams
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons of reserved clam juice
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 garlic clove, finely chopped
1 tablespoon parsley flakes

Steps:

  • Cream together with mixer the softened cream cheese, sour cream, reserved clam juice.
  • Beat until smooth and well blended.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Cover and chill thoroughly.
  • Serve with potato chips.
  • Refrigerate leftovers.

Tips:

  • Prep the Clams: Before using, thoroughly clean the clams by removing any sand or grit. If using fresh clams, steam them open and remove the meat from the shells.
  • Use High-Quality Ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the tastier your Clam Dip will be. Opt for fresh clams, real crab meat, and a flavorful cheese blend.
  • Don't Overcook the Clams: When steaming the clams, be careful not to overcook them, as this can make them tough. Steam just until they open, then remove from the heat.
  • Chill Before Serving: After preparing the Clam Dip, chill it for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld and the dip to thicken slightly.
  • Garnish Elegantly: When serving, garnish the Clam Dip with fresh herbs like chopped parsley or chives. You can also add a sprinkle of paprika or cayenne pepper for a touch of color and flavor.

Conclusion:

Whether you're hosting a party or simply craving a delicious appetizer, Reese Family Clam Dip is a surefire crowd-pleaser. With its creamy, flavorful texture and irresistible combination of seafood and cheese, this dip is guaranteed to be a hit. So gather your ingredients, follow the step-by-step instructions, and prepare to indulge in a culinary delight that will leave you and your guests wanting more.
