1 gal apple cider
1 1/2 c red hot candies (red cinnamon hearts)

Steps:

  • 1. Warm the cider on the stove top and add the red hot candies. Stir to dissolve. Serve when at desired drinking temperature.
  • 2. If you want to make a smaller amount: Use a quart of cider and 3 Tablespoons of red hots.
  • 3. You can experiment with the level of cinnamon strength by adding less red hots and increasing the amount to find what your family prefers.

2 Tbsp cinnamon

Steps:

  • 1. mix sugar and cinnamon and set aside
  • 2. warn the apple juice till hot but not boiling in a large cooking pot on your stove top, add red hots and cinnamon/sugar stir very often so the candy doesn't stick to the pot ..
