2-1/2 c boiling water
2/3 c small red hot cinnamon candies
2 3-oz pkgs lemon jello
2 c canned sweetened apple sauce
1 8 oz pkg cream cheese
1/2 c mayonnaise
1/2 c chopped nuts, or chopped celery can be added.

Steps:

  • 1. Combine boiling water with cinnamon candies in a saucepan, stir over low heat to dissolve candies. remove from heat stir in gelatin. Blend in applesauce. Pour half of mixture into a 2 quart mold or an 8 inch square pan. Chill until firm. Blend softened cream cheese with mayonnaise, add chopped nuts, and or chopped celery. Spread cream cheese mixture over chilled mixture. Pour remaining gelatin mixture over cream cheese mixture. Chill all several hours till firm.

8 apples, granny smiths are good
3/4 cup red cinnamon candies
1/2 cup sugar substitute, such as equal
3/4 cup water

  • Core the apples, but it isn't necessary to peel them.
  • I like the texture of having the peels in the sauce.
  • Dice them very fine.
  • Tumble everything into a large pot and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce to the slowest simmer you can arrange on your stove so the sauce won't burn on the bottom of the pot.

1 pkg red hot cinnomon candies
2 c cold applesauce
1 pkg any serves 8 red flavored jello[i use sugar free]
1 c chopped mixed nut... what ever you have will work
1 pkg 8 oz fat free cream cheese
milk... as needed

  • 1. put 1 cup water in small saucepan melt candies... watch close so they don't burn
  • 2. put jello in lg bowl...add candy mix... stir to disolve jello
  • 3. add applesauce stir well put in fridge til it starts to set up
  • 4. add nuts[ i have also added celery,rasins,]... mix well... put in nice mold dish... refrigerate til set
  • 5. before serving...unmold
  • 6. mix cream cheese[at room temp] with a few drops of milk... til spreading consistincy... frost mold.. sprinkle a few nuts on top...
