Whole Wheat Banana Pancakes - Low Fat image

For this recipe I modified a pancake recipe to make it low fat/fat free, but you can add nuts if you like, which I did for a few of the pancakes. I think it would also taste good with some cinnamon. My guests loved them.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup skim milk
1 egg
2 tablespoons applesauce
2 bananas, preferably overripe and mashed
nuts (optional) or raisins (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Combine wet ingredients.
  • Whisk in dry ingredients.
  • Using a 1/4 cup measure drop batter onto a hot frying pan.
  • When pancakes begin to bubble flip them.
  • Finished when golden on both sides.
