A great alternative if you don't have brandy available!

3 tablespoons superfine sugar
1 lemon wedge
2 fluid ounces whiskey
1 fluid ounce orange liqueur
¾ fluid ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
ice

Steps:

  • Place sugar in a shallow bowl. Run lemon wedge around the rim of a glass. Dip rim into sugar.
  • Combine whiskey, orange liqueur, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker; add ice, cover shaker, and shake for 20 seconds. Strain drink into prepared cocktail glass.
