A great one pot meal for both kids and adults alike. I came across this recipe in my Better Homes and Garden Ground Meat Cookbook c 1973 Kind of Reminds one of the Old West doesn't it sitting around a camp fire or at least an outside cooking pit or charcoal BBQ. Anyway whether it is cooked on the stove, Cooking Pit, or BBQ it...

I would love to try this recipe, but I don't have a Dutch oven. Can it be made in a regular baking dish?

I'm not a big fan of casseroles, but this one was actually pretty good. The cornbread topping was especially delicious.

This recipe has potential, but it needs some tweaking. I would suggest using more seasoning in the filling and a different type of cornbread topping.

Not worth the effort. I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out terrible.

This recipe was a disappointment. The cornbread topping was dry and crumbly, and the filling was bland.

I've made this casserole several times and it's always a crowd-pleaser. I usually add some diced green chilies for a little extra spice.

Easy and delicious! I used ground turkey instead of beef, and it turned out great. My kids loved it too.

This Western casserole was a hit with my family! The combination of ground beef, corn, beans, and cheese was delicious, and the cornbread topping was the perfect finishing touch. I will definitely be making this again.
