Walnut Pie I image

Delicious pie for walnut lovers.

Number Of Ingredients 10

¾ cup white sugar
¼ cup all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup milk
3 eggs
1 ¼ cups dark corn syrup
6 tablespoons butter
¾ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup walnuts
1 (9 inch) pie shell

Steps:

  • Scatter nuts over bottom of unbaked pie shell.
  • In a large bowl, stir together sugar, flour, and salt. Stir in milk until smooth. Add eggs, corn syrup, butter or margarine and vanilla. Beat until thoroughly blended. Pour filling carefully over nuts; make sure the nuts are still spread out evenly over the crust bottom.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour. Cool.
