This is what I am making to pick nick with on our road trip to Ohio. It is my own version of one my mom used to make for cookouts when I was a kid.

Steps:
- 1. I like to blanch my broccoli and cauliflower for about 3 minutes in boiling salted water, and then shock in ice water. You can leave it raw, but blanching it gives it a nice vibrant color.
- 2. put all ingredients into a large bowl and toss.
- 3. let marinade in the fridge for 30 minutes or over night. this is one of those dishes that is better made the night before.
