If you love stuffed peppers then you'll love this deconstructed version of them. It is super easy to make and packs a lot of flavor the whole family will enjoy. We used panko bread crumbs for the topping and it added a nice crunchy texture to this lovely dish.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350.
- 2. Place ground beef in a large, oven-safe skillet, over medium-high heat. Cook until browned. Drain excess grease if needed (if beef is lean you can probably skip that step).
- 3. Add onion, peppers and garlic to ground beef and cook until onion is just beginning to soften. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- 4. Stir in rice, marinara and half the cheese. Remove from heat. Sprinkle remaining cheese over the top.
- 5. In a small bowl, toss the breadcrumbs with the olive oil and then sprinkle the mixture over the top of the beef mixture.
- 6. Bake in oven for 10 minutes.
- 7. If desired, place under broiler for 2-3 minutes to get cheese all ooey gooey and browned. Enjoy! For more specifics visit http://foodyschmoodyblog.com/un-stuffed-peppers/
