Two-Step Whole Wheat Pumpkin Bars image

No refined flour or sugar :) These easy, yummy bars are not too sweet, so I recommend frosting them with cream cheese frosting. This was one of the very first things I learned to bake!

1/2 cup oil
1/3 cup honey
2 eggs
1 cup whole wheat flour, plus
2 tablespoons whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup canned pumpkin
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/3 cup nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in bowl and mix well.
  • Bake in greased 9x13 baking pan for 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees; cool on wire rack.
