If I had to pick a recipe that was my favorite, it would have to be this one. Given me by a beloved friend, I have made it hundreds of times. Be sure to use the freshest basil and tomato you can find.

Steps:
- 1. Combine first seven ingredients. Stir lightly to combine.
- 2. Let stand for 6 hours at room temperature
- 3. 1/2 hour before dining, cook linguine al dente. Drain.
- 4. Toss tomato mixture with the warm pasta. Let stand 15-20m min. before serving.
- 5. Serve with grated Asiago cheese and warm bread. A meal for the gods.....
