These squares are a bit time-consuming to make, but they're definitely worth the effort. They're so delicious and everyone always loves them.

I'm not a huge fan of bacon, so I used diced ham in this recipe instead. It was still very good, but I think I would have preferred it with bacon.

I made these squares in a muffin tin instead of a 9x13 inch pan. They turned out perfectly! Just be sure to adjust the baking time accordingly.

I added a dollop of sour cream to each square before serving. It added a nice tanginess that really complemented the other flavors.

I used turkey bacon in this recipe to make it a little healthier. It was still delicious, but not quite as flavorful as with real bacon.

I'm allergic to tomatoes, so I substituted diced zucchini in this recipe. It turned out great! The zucchini added a nice sweetness and crunch to the squares.

These squares are also great for freezing. I like to make a big batch and then freeze them for later. When I'm ready to serve them, I just thaw them in the refrigerator overnight.

I made these squares ahead of time and reheated them in the oven before serving. They were just as good as when they were freshly made.

I used a different type of cheese than the recipe called for and they still turned out great. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses to find your favorite combination.

I'm not usually a fan of tomatoes, but these squares were surprisingly delicious. The bacon and cheese really balanced out the tartness of the tomatoes.
