THREE BEAN CHILI image

Number Of Ingredients 17

1 T Olive Oil
1 Cup chopped onion
3 Cloves minced garlic
2 Pounds ground Turkey Breast
1 Pound ground Leanest Ground Beef
1/4 cup Chili Powder
2 T ground Cumin
1 T dried oregano
1 1/2 tsp Ground Coriander
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Tapatio sauce or other hot pepper sauce to taste.
Grated rind of 1 lime and juice of 1 lime
1 can chicken broth.
1 Can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes, undrained
1 can each red kidney beans, black beans, and white beans, rinsed and drained
ground pepper to taste
toppings of choice (Limes, cheddar cheese, fritos, avocado, cilantro, sour cream)

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil in large soup pot or dutch oven. Add and saute onions. Once translucent and soft, add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add meat and cook stirring and breaking up lumps until the meat is no longer pink. Add chili powder and other seasoning, cook and stir for 2 minutes. Add chicken broth and tomatoes with their juice and bring to a boil. Reduce and cook stirring occasionally for 1 hour. Stir in beans, heat thru and season again if necessary with salt/pepper. Serve with toppings.
