Bartenders at this spot, in a distillery on Kentucky's Bourbon Trail, take bourbon to a new place by mixing it with carrot juice.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 1/4 ounces bourbon
3/4 ounce carrot juice
1/2 ounce fresh lemon juice
1/4 to 1/2 ounce date syrup
3 dashes of orange-fig bitters
Sage leaf, for garnish

Steps:

  • Combine the bourbon, carrot juice, lemon juice, date syrup and bitters in a shaker with ice; shake well.
  • Strain the cocktail into a coupe glass. Garnish with a sage leaf.
