Steps:
- 1. Cut bread into small pieces and place in greased 13X9X2 baking dish. In a large bowl wisk eggs, milk, cream, sugar, butter, vanilla and cinnamon. Pour evenly over bread.
- 2. Bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees, 40-45 minutes or until knife in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before cutting.
- 3. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, bring the sugar, water and lemon juice to a boil. Cook until sugar is disolved and mixture turns a golden amber color. Stir in butter until melted. Add cream. Remove from heat. Serve over bread pudding. Heavenly! Makes 12 servings
