3 -5 lbs tri-tip roast
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup sugar
4 -6 garlic cloves, chopped
2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger
3 green onions, chopped
1 teaspoon black pepper (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a Freezer bag.
  • Marinate Tri tip for at least 24 hours.
  • Cut Tri tip into steaks and grill.
