TEQUILA SUNRISE POPS image

Yield 8 ounces

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 orange, peeled and cut into thin slices
1/4 cup Tequila
3 cups fresh orange juice
stemmed maraschino cherries (1 per pop)
1/4 cup grenadine
(makes 24 two-ounce ice cube pops or eight 6-ounce pops)

Steps:

  • 1. In a small bowl, combine orange slices and tequila, let sit for 10 minutes. 2. In a pitcher, combine orange slices and orange juice. 3. Put a cherry in each pop mold, fill molds 3/4 full w/orange juice mixture, freeze for 20 minutes until slushy. 4. Remove from freezer, divide grenadine among molds, insert sticks, freeze 12 hours. 5. Remove from freezer, let stand 5 minutes before mold removal.
