TENDER JUICY BAKED HAM WITH A TWIST image

This makes a super tasty, juicy and very tender ham. After I made this the 1st time, my hubby requests I make ham this way every time.

Time 3h20m

Number Of Ingredients 2

1 bone in half or whole ham
1 TO 2 can(s) cola ( depends on size of ham) i use diet cola because i am diabetic

Steps:

  • 1. trim off majority of excess fat from outside of ham. Score the whole outside of the ham about 1/2 in deep in crisscross directions with sharp knife. Pour cola slowly over entire ham. cover losley with foil. add about 2 inches of water to bottom of pan to keep from drying out.
  • 2. Bake required amount of time for the size of the ham you are cooking. Slice and enjoy a super tender ,juicy ham that has a fabulous flavor. ** this could also be place in a slow cooker
  • 3. I Baste the ham a few times during cooking to add even more flavor & juciness.

I made this ham for Easter dinner and it was a disaster. The ham was overcooked and the glaze was burnt. I don't recommend this recipe.

This ham was a little bit dry, but the glaze was delicious. I think I would cook it for a little less time next time.

I followed the recipe exactly and the ham turned out perfectly. It was a little bit salty for my taste, but that's just personal preference.
