Tasty Chess Squares image

Unless I'm arranging these on a platter to take somewhere, I will wrap the individual squares in plastic wrap or waxed paper. They store easily and will not stick together. Plus, they're portable! Number Of Ingredients 5

1 box yellow cake mix
4 eggs
1 stick melted butter
8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
1 box confectioners sugar

Steps:

  • 1. You will need a 9x13" cake pan. Butter pan well and set aside.
  • 2. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  • 3. Mix cake mix, 1 egg, and melted butter and press into 9 x 13 inch well buttered pan.
  • 4. In seperate bowl, combine cream cheese, confectioners sugar, and 3 eggs (well beaten).
  • 5. Spread icing over mixture in pan.
  • 6. Bake for 1 hour.
  • 7. Let cool and cut into squares.
