Switchel: The Original Gatorade image

My family used to drink this on the farm when I was a kid. It went by the gallons when the men would come in from the fields. I was given it again recently as I lost it a while back and my memory is not what it used to be so I was very glad to get it.

This switchel is a bit too tart for my taste. I think I'll try it again with less apple cider vinegar next time.

I'm not a big fan of the taste of ginger, but I still enjoyed this switchel. The apple cider vinegar and maple syrup helped to balance out the flavor.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my switchel turned out really cloudy. It still tasted good, though.
