Steps:
- have the butcher cut the short ribs so that they are about 1 - 2 inches long; then cut the ribsapart from each other.
- Place in a roaster in the oven at 425, to sear/brown the meat, and turn them - for about an hour. Then turn down to 350 degrees and roast for another hour.
- If needed, put some water into the roasting pan to keep them from sticking.
- Once they are fully tender, take out of the oven and drain all the liquid off the meat.
- Make the sauce, using all the rest of the ingredients. Mix the flour and sugar together before putting into a pan on the stove to make the sauce, - that way it won't lump when you add the water.
- Cook the sauce till it is thickened, then add to the meat in the roaster.
- Bake the meat with the sauce, letting it boil up so that the flavour goes through the meat, then turn down the oven to 200 and leave until you are ready to serve.
