Categories     Egg     Brunch     Bake     Quick & Easy

Number Of Ingredients 5

6 eggs, salted and peppered to taste
1 frozen deep-dish pie shell (or a sheet of refrigerated pie crust in a 9-in pie shell)
1 cup of half & half or whole milk
2 cups of anything in your fridge that seems like it'll work
1 cup of shredded cheese, any kind

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 425-F. Pierce the pie crust all over with a fork. Bake, unfilled, for about 8-minutes. Meanwhile, mix together the eggs, half & half or milk, cheese and anything else, and pour into the pre-baked pie shell. Reduce the oven to 325-F and bake for 35 or 40 minutes. Let it rest for 5-minutes before serving. Note: You can use 2% milk, which is lower in fat but, of course, not as good.

The crust was a little too thick for my taste, but the filling was delicious.

This quiche is a great way to use up leftover vegetables. I had some roasted broccoli and cauliflower, and they were perfect in this recipe.

This quiche was a hit! The crust was flaky and the filling was creamy and flavorful. I used a combination of sharp cheddar and Gruyère cheese, and it was the perfect balance of sharpness and richness.
