Strawberry Poppy Seed Salad image

This salad is always a hit and you can serve it with almost any entree!

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 head romaine lettuce, tear to desired size
1 pt fresh strawberries, sliced
1 small red onion, thinly sliced
POPPYSEED DRESSING
1/2 c mayonnnaise or plain yogurt
2 Tbsp vinegar
1/2 c sugar
1/4 c milk
2 Tbsp poppy seeds
GARNISH
almonds, slivered and toasted

Steps:

  • 1. Prepare salad ingredients in a bowl or on individual plates. Layer lettuce, berries, red onion slices and drizzle with dressing before serving. If you wish, toast some almonds and garnish just before serving.
